Nicht Brot und Spiele wie im antiken Rom, sondern Bier und Spiele lautet unser Erfolgsrezept für einen entspannten Freitag. Wir verfügen über ein ansehnliches Arsenal an Brettspielen, aus dem auszuwählen Euch sicher schwer fallen wird. Natürlich könnt Ihr auch Eure eigenen Spiele mitbringen.
Wer lieber in Ruhe ein Bier trinken will, findet an unserer Bar genug Platz um sich gemütlich zu platzieren und unser Biersortiment durchzuprobieren. Aktuell sind das 11 Sorten. Dazu kommt noch eine Auswahl an diversen alkoholfreien Getränken. Guten Durst!
Ab 20 Uhr seid Ihr herzlich eingeladen, uns Gesellschaft zu leisten. Je nach Verlauf des Abends ist der Zapfhahn bis etwa 1 Uhr offen.

Die Kellerparty ist längst zu einer Art Institution geworden. Jeden Dienstag gibt es auf zwei Floors gute Musik zum Tanzen und dazu kühle Getränke. Der obere Saal wird bereits ab 21 Uhr geöffnet, der Keller ab 23 Uhr.
Der Eintritt beträgt für Studenten 1 €, für Nichtstudenten 3 €. Für die Studenten-Ermäßigung müsst Ihr uns einen gültigen Studiennachweis vorlegen. Und vergesst bitte nicht einen gültigen Lichtbildausweis zur Identitäts- und Altersprüfung mitzubringen. Muttizettel jedweden Inhalts können wir leider nicht akzeptieren.
Um 4 Uhr ist die Party zu Ende und wir müssen Euch leider verabschieden. Aber nicht für lange, denn nach der Kellerparty ist vor der Kellerparty!

EA2020 canceled - the virus is stronger.
A dark hour for the Elektroanschlag, perhaps the darkest ...
Unfortunately we have to cancel EA2020.
On the first weekend in April, people from all over Germany, Europe, even Japan and the USA wanted to come to Altenburg, a small town in Thuringia. That is exactly what is pushing us to make this decision.
There are many opinions about Covid-19, and dealing with them is a matter of opinion. You know that and we do too. But nobody can say where the journey is going. What will the situation be like next week, will the situation improve in 2 weeks, or will events with 100 people be prohibited (as in Prague)? How do restrictions change, when are they tightened and loosened?
All in all, too much uncertainty for us and probably for you too - apart from cancellation and contract periods. We hope to be able to keep the “damage” for everyone - guests & artists - as low as possible by announcing our decision relatively early.
We are very, very sorry for everyone involved, but it would be even more so if, because of our wish to “absolutely” go through our festival, volunteers, artists, guests or relatives could suffer health consequences.
We can not say at this point in time how Elektroanschlag will continue. It certainly depends on how big (not only) the financial damage is in the end.
Give us a few days to consider details on how to refund the tickets you bought. You will definitely get your money back. The production of the EA2020 CD is currently on hold, but for this we will also find a solution.

RUSSIAN CIRCLES (USA)
Russian Circles named their 2016 album Guidance in reference to the uncertainty of the future. It was a fitting title for the times, with the album coming out a few months before America’s tumultuous presidential election, but it was intended more as a reference to the band’s own absence of a blueprint as they navigated their second decade as a band than as a social commentary. If there were questions as to how to move forward as a musical unit or individual doubts as to how to continue toiling as artists in the underground, the three years of relentless touring on the album only served to reinforce the Sisyphean struggle of artists. With their latest album Blood Year, Russian Circles forsake the sonic crossroads of divergent musical paths found on albums like Guidance and Memorial to offer up the most direct and forceful collection of songs in their discography.

TORCHE (USA)
“People are always trying to figure out which compartment we fit into. They wanna put us on a shelf. But in a world of Sabbaths, we get to be Van Halen.”
That’s Torche guitarist and producer Jon Nuñez talking about his band’s uneasy relationship with categorization. Over the last 15 years, Torche—led by the core trio of Nuñez, guitarist/vocalist Steve Brooks and drummer Rick Smith—have often been saddled with one-dimensional niche terms like doom, sludge or stoner rock, but none of them really apply. “That shit is tiresome,” he says. “When people ask me what kind of music we play, I just say, ‘Loud rock n’ roll.’”
Which is a good way to describe Torche’s fifth and latest album, Admission. From the rumbling cannonade of opener “From Here” and chunky bomb-string detonator “What Was” to the staccato siren song “Reminder” and glistening thunder pop of the title track, it’s a record that manages to be hi-powered, dynamic and melodic—all at the same time. “To me, it’s a real record with peaks and valleys and emotional ups and downs,” Nuñez offers. “Musically, the intensity doesn’t stay in one lane.

Der große Floor wird gewohnt düster mit Gitarrenklängen beschallt, nur etwas klassischer als sonst, da auf dem kleineren Floor endlich mal wieder ein MinimalWave-Special stattfinden wird. ;)
Euch erwartet also eine Nacht voller musikalischer Gegensätze, die sich insgesamt harmonisch vereinigen sollen...
